# Tibet.Net vs VOA Burmese

Tibet.Net and VOA Burmese both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of Tibet.Net's written reviews are positive against 34% of VOA Burmese's. Tibet.Net also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.0). VOA Burmese's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 11). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VOA Burmese holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VOA Burmese has 1.5K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Tibet.Net's written reviews are positive against 34% of VOA Burmese's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tibet.Net ships an update every 2 weeks, VOA Burmese every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
