# Zip Printer vs Bracketology

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bracketology at 73% against Zip Printer's 27%. Zip Printer's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bracketology sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Zip Printer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zip Printer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zip Printer has 33K ratings behind it against 179, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Zip Printer's written reviews are positive against 73% of Bracketology's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
