# ABC Star vs BxLight

The clearest difference is rating: BxLight at 5.0 against ABC Star's 3.8. BxLight also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 73%). ABC Star's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ABC Star sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BxLight sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BxLight holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ABC Star has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of ABC Star's written reviews are positive against 100% of BxLight's.

ABC Star ships an update every 4 months, BxLight every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
