# Diary With Password vs ClientNote

The clearest difference is ads: Diary With Password at none against ClientNote's shown. Diary With Password also leads on ratings volume (27K vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). ClientNote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary With Password sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ClientNote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ClientNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary With Password has 27K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Diary With Password's written reviews are positive against 88% of ClientNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Diary With Password ships an update every 2 weeks, ClientNote every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
