# Diary With Password vs Nimbus8

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nimbus8 at every 2 days against Diary With Password's every 2 weeks. Diary With Password's advantage is ratings volume (27K vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary With Password sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nimbus8 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Diary With Password against 4.8 for Nimbus8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary With Password has 27K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Diary With Password's written reviews are positive against 89% of Nimbus8's.

Diary With Password ships an update every 2 weeks, Nimbus8 every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
