# Dingbats vs YAFOY !

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Dingbats at 1.2K against YAFOY !'s 33. YAFOY !'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dingbats sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and YAFOY ! sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Dingbats against 4.6 for YAFOY !. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dingbats has 1.2K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Dingbats's written reviews are positive against 80% of YAFOY !'s.

Dingbats ships an update every 5 weeks, YAFOY ! every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
