# BOLTY vs Five Hoops

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Five Hoops at 67% against BOLTY's 0%. Five Hoops also leads on ratings volume (120K vs 2). BOLTY's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Five Hoops sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BOLTY asks for nothing beyond the download.

BOLTY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Five Hoops has 120K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of BOLTY's written reviews are positive against 67% of Five Hoops's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BOLTY ships an update weekly, Five Hoops fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
