# Trance 5D Music Visualizer vs Spectrojam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Spectrojam at 69% against Trance 5D Music Visualizer's 41%. Spectrojam also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Trance 5D Music Visualizer's advantage is ratings volume (493 vs 25) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trance 5D Music Visualizer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spectrojam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trance 5D Music Visualizer holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trance 5D Music Visualizer has 493 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Trance 5D Music Visualizer's written reviews are positive against 69% of Spectrojam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trance 5D Music Visualizer ships an update every 5 weeks, Spectrojam every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
