# NFC Tools vs ShallWe Decider

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ShallWe Decider at none against NFC Tools's 1. ShallWe Decider also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). NFC Tools's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFC Tools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ShallWe Decider asks for nothing beyond the download.

NFC Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NFC Tools has 14K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 51% and 50% positive.

NFC Tools ships an update every 3 weeks, ShallWe Decider every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
