# NFC Tools vs Willdesk

The clearest difference is rating: NFC Tools at 4.6 against Willdesk's 4.0. NFC Tools also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 3) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). Willdesk's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (67% vs 51%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFC Tools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Willdesk asks for nothing beyond the download.

NFC Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NFC Tools has 15K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of NFC Tools's written reviews are positive against 67% of Willdesk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
