# MacrosFirst vs MOVES by Madeline

The clearest difference is monetization model: MacrosFirst at freemium against MOVES by Madeline's subscription. MacrosFirst also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (23K vs 4.1K). MOVES by Madeline's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (96% vs 74%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MacrosFirst sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and MOVES by Madeline sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for MacrosFirst against 4.9 for MOVES by Madeline. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MacrosFirst has 23K ratings behind it against 4.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of MacrosFirst's written reviews are positive against 96% of MOVES by Madeline's.

MacrosFirst ships an update weekly, MOVES by Madeline fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
