# MacrosFirst vs MacroTracker

The clearest difference is rating: MacrosFirst at 4.9 against MacroTracker's 4.3. MacrosFirst also leads on ratings volume (22K vs 554) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). MacroTracker's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MacrosFirst sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and MacroTracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MacrosFirst holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MacrosFirst has 22K ratings behind it against 554, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of MacrosFirst's written reviews are positive against 61% of MacroTracker's.

MacrosFirst ships an update weekly, MacroTracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
