# Desk Clock vs World Time Clocks

The clearest difference is ads: World Time Clocks at none against Desk Clock's shown. World Time Clocks also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Desk Clock's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desk Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and World Time Clocks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

World Time Clocks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desk Clock has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Desk Clock's written reviews are positive against 67% of World Time Clocks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Desk Clock ships an update every 9 days, World Time Clocks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
