# Sp Memos vs メモ帳

The clearest difference is update cadence: メモ帳 at every 8 days against Sp Memos's every 4 months. Sp Memos's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sp Memos sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and メモ帳 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sp Memos ships an update every 4 months, メモ帳 every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
