# AENC vs PCMA+

The clearest difference is update cadence: PCMA+ at every 5 days against AENC's every 32 months. PCMA+ also leads on ratings volume (225 vs 2). AENC's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AENC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PCMA+ has 225 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AENC ships an update every 32 months, PCMA+ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
