# AENC vs IMEX Events

The clearest difference is rating: AENC at 5.0 against IMEX Events's 2.7. AENC also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). IMEX Events's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 32 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AENC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IMEX Events has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AENC ships an update every 32 months, IMEX Events every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
