# 百道学习 vs Penguin

The clearest difference is update cadence: Penguin at every 3 days against 百道学习's every 3 weeks. 百道学习's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 百道学习 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Penguin sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

百道学习 ships an update every 3 weeks, Penguin every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
