# NewValue vs Mambo

The clearest difference is rating: NewValue at 5.0 against Mambo's 4.7. NewValue also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Mambo's advantage is ratings volume (78 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NewValue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mambo has 78 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of NewValue's written reviews are positive against 30% of Mambo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NewValue ships an update every 6 weeks, Mambo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
