# SQUIRE™ Commander vs MP Phamily

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MP Phamily at 100% against SQUIRE™ Commander's 49%. MP Phamily also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). SQUIRE™ Commander's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SQUIRE™ Commander holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SQUIRE™ Commander has 4.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of SQUIRE™ Commander's written reviews are positive against 100% of MP Phamily's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SQUIRE™ Commander ships an update every 11 days, MP Phamily every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
