# SQUIRE™ Commander vs Brixton Barbers

SQUIRE™ Commander and Brixton Barbers both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 49% of SQUIRE™ Commander's written reviews are positive against 0% of Brixton Barbers's. SQUIRE™ Commander also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 15) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Brixton Barbers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SQUIRE™ Commander has 4.6K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of SQUIRE™ Commander's written reviews are positive against 0% of Brixton Barbers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SQUIRE™ Commander ships an update every 11 days, Brixton Barbers every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
