# AddNotes vs Privy

The clearest difference is ads: Privy at none against AddNotes's shown. AddNotes's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AddNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Privy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AddNotes ships an update every 10 days, Privy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
