# Echo vs Repeating Reminder

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Echo at 67% against Repeating Reminder's 0%. Echo also leads on ratings volume (68 vs 4) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). Repeating Reminder's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Repeating Reminder asks for nothing beyond the download.

Repeating Reminder holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo has 68 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Echo's written reviews are positive against 0% of Repeating Reminder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Echo ships an update every 5 weeks, Repeating Reminder every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
