# THEA vs DECTV DIGITAL

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: THEA at none against DECTV DIGITAL's 3. THEA also leads on ratings volume (62 vs 1). DECTV DIGITAL's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DECTV DIGITAL sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. THEA asks for nothing beyond the download.

DECTV DIGITAL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: THEA has 62 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

THEA ships an update every 3 months, DECTV DIGITAL every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
