# Freja vs LecToGo

The clearest difference is rating: Freja at 4.5 against LecToGo's 2.3. Freja also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). LecToGo's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 42%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Freja holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freja has 99 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Freja's written reviews are positive against 63% of LecToGo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freja ships an update every 9 days, LecToGo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
