# Gate Guide vs History Hit

The clearest difference is rating: Gate Guide at 4.8 against History Hit's 4.5. History Hit's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 101). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gate Guide sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and History Hit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gate Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: History Hit has 1.2K ratings behind it against 101, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
