# IFFM vs Showchat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Showchat at every 4 days against IFFM's every 9 months. IFFM's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IFFM ships an update every 9 months, Showchat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
