# Instant Noodles vs Scent Diary

The clearest difference is update cadence: Instant Noodles at every 3 weeks against Scent Diary's every 8 months. Instant Noodles also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Noodles sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Scent Diary sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Noodles ships an update every 3 weeks, Scent Diary every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
