# sumZ+ vs Merge Block

The clearest difference is rating: Merge Block at 4.7 against sumZ+'s 4.1. Merge Block also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). sumZ+'s advantage is ratings volume (833 vs 18) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. sumZ+ sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Merge Block sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Merge Block holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: sumZ+ has 833 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.

sumZ+ ships an update every 10 days, Merge Block monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
