# Cool Ringtones vs Ringtone Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cool Ringtones at 73% against Ringtone Maker's 22%. Cool Ringtones also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 126). Ringtone Maker's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cool Ringtones sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Ringtone Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ringtone Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cool Ringtones has 1.6K ratings behind it against 126, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Cool Ringtones's written reviews are positive against 22% of Ringtone Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cool Ringtones ships an update every 5 weeks, Ringtone Maker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
