# I vs Backup Disk

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: I at none against Backup Disk's 3. I also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backup Disk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. I asks for nothing beyond the download.

I ships an update every 9 days, Backup Disk every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
