# Fly 98.5 vs 102.9 Bob FM

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 102.9 Bob FM at 100% against Fly 98.5's 50%. 102.9 Bob FM also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Fly 98.5's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 12 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fly 98.5 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly 98.5 has 67 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Fly 98.5's written reviews are positive against 100% of 102.9 Bob FM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fly 98.5 ships an update every 3 months, 102.9 Bob FM every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
