# Diary vs Personal Diary

The clearest difference is rating: Personal Diary at 5.0 against Diary's 4.5. Personal Diary also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Diary's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Personal Diary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
