# PubPass vs BeerPass App

PubPass and BeerPass App both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of BeerPass App's written reviews are positive against 52% of PubPass's. PubPass's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PubPass against 4.9 for BeerPass App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PubPass has 1.7K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of PubPass's written reviews are positive against 100% of BeerPass App's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
