# EVOLUTION 3 vs 21BOOM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 21BOOM at none against EVOLUTION 3's 3. 21BOOM also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (4 vs 2). EVOLUTION 3's advantage is ratings volume (238 vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EVOLUTION 3 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. 21BOOM asks for nothing beyond the download.

21BOOM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EVOLUTION 3 has 238 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EVOLUTION 3 ships an update every 3 weeks, 21BOOM every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
