# ABTimers vs Timr

ABTimers and Timr both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ABTimers's written reviews are positive against 57% of Timr's. ABTimers also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Timr's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 56 months) and ratings volume (183 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ABTimers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Timr sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.69 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for ABTimers against 4.5 for Timr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timr has 183 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of ABTimers's written reviews are positive against 57% of Timr's.

ABTimers ships an update every 56 months, Timr weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
