# Meross vs MARSTEK

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MARSTEK at none against Meross's 8. Meross's advantage is ratings volume (7.9K vs 11) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meross sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. MARSTEK asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Meross against 4.5 for MARSTEK. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meross has 7.9K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Meross's written reviews are positive against 72% of MARSTEK's.

Meross ships an update fortnightly, MARSTEK every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
