# Instant Profile+ vs Shield VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shield VPN at 60% against Instant Profile+'s 18%. Shield VPN also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.2). Instant Profile+'s advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 239) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Profile+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Shield VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shield VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instant Profile+ has 1.4K ratings behind it against 239, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Instant Profile+'s written reviews are positive against 60% of Shield VPN's.

Instant Profile+ ships an update fortnightly, Shield VPN every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
