# LYNX Whiteboard vs Writing Wizard

The clearest difference is rating: LYNX Whiteboard at 5.0 against Writing Wizard's 4.4. LYNX Whiteboard also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Writing Wizard's advantage is ratings volume (5.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writing Wizard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. LYNX Whiteboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

LYNX Whiteboard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writing Wizard has 5.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of LYNX Whiteboard's written reviews are positive against 74% of Writing Wizard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LYNX Whiteboard ships an update monthly, Writing Wizard every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
