# LingoDeer vs Planit

The clearest difference is monetization model: Planit at freemium against LingoDeer's subscription. Planit also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). LingoDeer's advantage is ratings volume (28K vs 58) and chart position (#171 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoDeer sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Planit sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for LingoDeer against 4.7 for Planit. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LingoDeer has 28K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of LingoDeer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Planit's.
