# SmartRace Connect vs LapSnap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SmartRace Connect at 92% against LapSnap's 30%. SmartRace Connect also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). LapSnap's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (245 vs 9). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartRace Connect sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and LapSnap sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartRace Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LapSnap has 245 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of SmartRace Connect's written reviews are positive against 30% of LapSnap's.

SmartRace Connect ships an update every 2 months, LapSnap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
