# SmartRace Connect vs RACER+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SmartRace Connect at 92% against RACER+'s 8%. SmartRace Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). RACER+'s advantage is ratings volume (217 vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartRace Connect sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and RACER+ sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartRace Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RACER+ has 217 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of SmartRace Connect's written reviews are positive against 8% of RACER+'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
