# Hail State vs RecordTime

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hail State at none against RecordTime's 1. Hail State also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). RecordTime's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RecordTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Hail State asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hail State ships an update every 2 months, RecordTime every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
