# Semy vs Cooper‘s Hawk

The clearest difference is rating: Cooper‘s Hawk at 4.9 against Semy's 4.0. Cooper‘s Hawk also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 40). Semy's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 44%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cooper‘s Hawk holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cooper‘s Hawk has 65K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Semy's written reviews are positive against 44% of Cooper‘s Hawk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Semy ships an update every 3 weeks, Cooper‘s Hawk every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
