# Semy vs Beggars Pizza

Semy and Beggars Pizza both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Semy's written reviews are positive against 5% of Beggars Pizza's. Semy also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.1). Beggars Pizza's advantage is ratings volume (326 vs 40). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Beggars Pizza holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beggars Pizza has 326 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Semy's written reviews are positive against 5% of Beggars Pizza's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Semy ships an update every 3 weeks, Beggars Pizza every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
