# FleetLocate Periscope vs GPS Trackit Cloud

The clearest difference is rating: FleetLocate Periscope at 4.8 against GPS Trackit Cloud's 3.2. FleetLocate Periscope also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 25). GPS Trackit Cloud's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FleetLocate Periscope holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FleetLocate Periscope has 2.3K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of FleetLocate Periscope's written reviews are positive against 69% of GPS Trackit Cloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FleetLocate Periscope ships an update every 4 months, GPS Trackit Cloud every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
