# MySteps vs ELIXIR GYM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ELIXIR GYM at none against MySteps's 3. ELIXIR GYM also leads on ads (none vs shown). MySteps's advantage is ratings volume (44K vs 17) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MySteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. ELIXIR GYM asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for MySteps against 4.5 for ELIXIR GYM. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySteps has 44K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.
