# MySteps vs Forever

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Forever at none against MySteps's 3. Forever also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). MySteps's advantage is ratings volume (44K vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MySteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Forever asks for nothing beyond the download.

Forever holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySteps has 44K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of MySteps's written reviews are positive against 100% of Forever's.

MySteps ships an update every 2 weeks, Forever every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
