# Pickleball+ vs Side Out

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Side Out at none against Pickleball+'s 2. Side Out also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 69%). Pickleball+'s advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 88). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pickleball+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Side Out asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pickleball+ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pickleball+ has 3.1K ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Pickleball+'s written reviews are positive against 90% of Side Out's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pickleball+ ships an update every 3 weeks, Side Out fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
