# NotNul vs Bare Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bare Reader at every 5 days against NotNul's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotNul sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bare Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotNul ships an update every 2 months, Bare Reader every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
