# Fretcetera vs Museek World

The clearest difference is update cadence: Museek World at weekly against Fretcetera's every 3 weeks. Fretcetera's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fretcetera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Museek World sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fretcetera ships an update every 3 weeks, Museek World weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
